What we do
The team at NAM produce and distribute accurate, up-to-date and evidence-based resources (printed, electronic, audio and online), covering both the medical and social aspects of HIV, to people living with HIV and to those who work to treat, support and care for them.
We know that “HIV information” means different things to different people. We reflect this in the range of information we have available. Whether you are newly diagnosed with HIV, have been living with HIV long-term, have a partner, child, friend or family member with HIV, are a specialist HIV clinician or a GP with your first HIV-positive patient, we have something to offer you.
Our resources include: our website www.aidsmap.com (one of the world’s foremost online HIV information resources), factsheets, booklets, monthly treatment update newsletters, email bulletins, searchable service listings, daily HIV news, information events, reporting from all major international HIV/AIDS conferences, as well as specific resources for medical professionals and resource-limited settings. Some of our resources, including conference bulletins, are available in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.

We work closely with experts in the fields of medicine, research, and social care, informing their work, updating them on developments in the field and learning from their experience of working in the HIV sector. We also work closely with people personally affected by HIV, listening to their views and experiences, and creating the resources they need.
Independence, accuracy and impartiality are absolutely central to all of NAM's resources and they are standards we never compromise. We have built our reputation on these qualities and they are the reason we are such a trusted source of high-quality information on HIV.
All NAM's resources are reviewed before publication by an expert medical panel and a panel of people living with HIV to ensure everything we produce is accurate, impartial, clearly written and relevant.
Although all our printed publications are available to buy we also distribute lots of our materials free of charge to people living with HIV in the UK, to HIV clinics and to clinicians. Contact us to find out more.
